Using the Budapest Card:
Validity of the card
The Budapest Card is your personal card and cannot be transferred to anyone else. The Budapest Card entitles the cardholder and one child up to the age of 14 accompanying the holder to use of the services. A Card is only valid when it is signed by the holder and dated Altered, corrected or illegible Card may not used, Budapest Cards may be purchased with a validity of 48 or 72 hours. The magnetic strip on the reverse of the Budapest Card is, like those found an bankcards, sensitive to heat and magnetism.
Public Transport
Your Budapest Card serves as your travel pass on public transport in the City. When so requested please present it to the ticket inspector or conductor, who is also entitled to check the validity of the signature on the Card. Passengers travelling on the suburban train ( Hév), the Budapest Card is valid only within the city limits. If you wish to travel beyond the city, e.g. to Szentendre, you should purchase a supplementary ticket beforehand. Sightseeing and cultural programmes
Card concessions are available only at place listed in the information guide.
Budapest Panorama Balloon. Enjoy the wonderful panorama of Budapest from the unique platform: a 22m-diameter, helium-filled, tethered balloon which rises 150 m into the air.( Launches subject to weather and wind conditions, 15 min)
Daytime and Evening sightseeing boats and guaranteed sightseeing's by bus.
Museums and sights
Please present your Card at the ticket office, where its serial number will be noted. The Card is valid for permanent exhibitions in museums, not for temporary displays requiring a separate ticket. Ticket offices at some museums and the Zoo shut an hour or half an hour before closing time.

Baths
Concessions apply to the admission ticket only, not to any other services. You can visit 3 Baths:
- Palatinus Strand Budapest finest strand baths is on Margaret Island. It has 7 pools ( some with termal water), sides, wave bath and a huge park with sport facilities and playground.

- Gellért Thermal , Bath and Swimming pool Budapest most elegant baths us awaiting visitors with its world famous sparkling bath, open air pool with artificial waves as well as with women's and men's thermal pools and full medical services.

- Rudas Medical Bath and Swimming pool. Some of the Turkish-period features of the bath ( built 16th century) are still used today: the octagonal pool and the four small corner pools, each with water of different temperature. The thermal bath is open to men. Men and women may use the indoor swimming poll.

Restaurants
In restaurants the Budapest Card is valid for the cardholder and all other persons with the cardholder, dinning together with him/her, with the exception of Gundel Restaurant where the complimentary pancake is available for the cardholder and one child dinning with the cardholder. Please present your Card before ordering and sign the bill.
